We walked in shortly after they opened and got a warm welcome by Tommy the owner. Got a small Tommy Bowl for myself and the portion was not small at all! Very flavorful! Also ordered the famous Tamale Pie, and it was fabulous! The fritos at the bottom added a surprise crunchiness and brought the dish to a different level. Will return and enjoy the whole experience again!
Consistently a fantastic experience in all aspects! Delicious and affordable. We're always spoiled at the Grapevine location to see Tommy himself chatting it up with patrons as well as having his boots on the ground to run food, bus tables, etc. Highly recommended, it will not disappoint.
Great food, good variety of salsas, good value of quality food for the price, friendly staff - highly recommend. We had the nachos and grilled burrito and when they get the basics right you know you are in a good spot.
We had the Beef Frito Tamale Pie and Beef Tommy Bowl. Both were delicious. The owner, Tommy, was at the restaurant. A great guy.. super friendly and gives you a warm Texas welcome. Highly recommend
Always a great 1st experience when owner is your main contact during that first visit. Atmosphere was simple and nothing bad or special. Food as well was quite good but, then again, simple in it's ingredients and presentation. I would definitely return. Apologize up front for an 'honest' review. Best thing was the owner/guest interaction - makes the overall experience a 5 plus in my opinion.
Love this place. The tamales had great flavor and the the chips and queso were a great compliment to our meal. The chicken and pork tamales tasted as if I was in the deep woods of Mexico with my Abuela hand making these on her casa.
Looking for a good tamale? Look no further. This place has a small menu, but each option we tried was absolutely AMAZING!! The tamale bowl, tamale pie, and the nachos were all quite tasty. The tamales we tried were pork and black bean and cheese. Each was delicious, but the pork was our favorite. Each was packed with flavor and seasoning that did not need additional salt or pepper. Customer service is exceptional, and we received service with a smile accompanied by recommendations since it was our first time to visit. 10/10 would recommend. If you're in the mood for tamales, I assure you, this place will not disappoint.
I usually visit the Coppell location but I was in Grapevine at lunchtime and decided to stop by. Tommy came over and introduced himself and gave a big welcome to this location. My beef tamale bowl was great as always!
